alt21 December 2016 Kozhikode:  Shri Suresh Khairnar, veteran commentator and rights activists from Nagpur has been selected for Mukundan C Menon Award 2016 instituted, by NCHRO in memory of late Mukundan C Menon, the noted journalist and human rights activists who died in 2005. He was the first General Secretary of the Confederation.

 

The jury made up of Prof. A Marx (Chennai),  Dr. J Devika (Thiruvananthapuram),  N.P Chekkutty (Kozhikode), Prof. N. Saibaba (Delhi),  Adv. K.P Muhammed Shareef (Manjeri),  Manisha Sethi (Delhi),  Adv. Shabana Khan (Mumbai) and E.Abubacker (Kozhikode) selected Shri Khairnar from among many nominations received from different parts of the country.

 

The award includes a cash prize of Rs.25000/- and a citation. This is a token of Confederation's recognition of the self less service rendered by Shri Khairnar for the protection of human and civil rights in India.
