Ujjain Chapter of National Confederation of Human Rights Organisations (NCHRO) submitted a memorandum to the District Commissioner as a mark of observing International Anti Torture day on June 26, 2015 with a message of strong two demands. 1) Repeal Draconian Laws 2)Stop encounter killings.
The NCHRO volunteers across the nation held various programs calling for an end to torture and impunity. Activities included poster campaign, public meetings, demos, seminars etc.
NCHRO printed and widely distributed posters to commemorate Anti-Torture Day. The poster was available in all major languages including Hindi, English, Bengali, Tamil& Malayalam.The poster campaign was conducted in 13 states viz., Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Assam, Manipur, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamilnadu and Puducherry with posters printed in all major Indian languages.
