No formal arrest has been made yet in the crime that shocked the State.

NCHRO Team visited the ailing mother of the victim admitted to a hospital in Perumbavoor and said that the culprits should be brought to justice at the earliest. The law student’s lifeless body showed signs that she’d been strangled, tortured and sexually assaulted, before she died in the small, run down home she shared with her family in Perumbavoor, Kerala.
NCHRO demanded the rehabilitation of her mother and sister. The Team noted that whenever  a Dalit girls dies, Governments' role shrinked to mere announcement of Financial aid. Successive governments have failed to provide security for her family.
